As I sat on a mattress in small concrete room, surrounded by eager young faces, attacked by flies and oppressed by the African heat, I realized that I was reaping the tears, sweat and prayers of many missionaries over decades of labor. You see, these young men that were listening and discussing Genesis with me are Fulani. And for the 1st 30 years of missionary work among this vast people, NONE had made a decision for Christ! Even today, only 1% of the over 10,000,000 Fulani have become disciples of Christ. They are one of the largest and most unreached peoples of the world!

But here in Ouagadougou where we live, small doors are opening for the Gospel. There are winds of change sweeping over this people that have resisted change and live nearly exactly as they did 400 years ago. But their nomadic, herdsman lifestyle can no longer sustain them and they are increasingly forced to find work in the city. And it is here that we have gathered a handful of young seekers to begin to share the Good News!

But to reach the multitude of Muslim Fulani across Africa, God will have to provide a miracle. Fortunately, He is in that business! We believe that God can start a small house church here in the city that could send out Fulani Christians to start small house churches in the villages that will then reproduce to create exponentially more churches. God has created this phenomenon before among other peoples (we call it a church-planting movement) and in those people, in less than 5 years; HUNDREDS of churches and thousands of new believers were born!

Will you pray with us? Would you pray right now? Pray that God would draw the hearts of the Fulani to Him. Pray that God would give us creative ideas in order to reach them. Pray for signs and wonders to reveal the power of God. Pray for the first Fulani church to be born. We believe that God is going to call 50 believers to commit to pray fervently for the Fulani. It is through prayer that we will begin to see a real movement of new believers. Many are already praying, but we need many more. Please seek God to see if He is calling you to your knees.
